22 year old man sentenced after being found in possession of meat cleaver in Sefton

UPDATE: Connor McDonald pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 8 weeks in prison.
Original: Officers in Sefton have charged a 22-year-old man from Liverpool after he was found in possession of a bladed article yesterday afternoon (11 November).
After a short foot pursuit, armed officers arrested Connor McDonald, 22, of Caldy Road, Liverpool in the Netherton area.
A meat cleaver style bladed article was also recovered, believed to have been discarded during the pursuit by McDonald.
He was arrested and later charged with the offence and remanded in custody overnight to appear at Sefton Magistrates Court this morning (12 November).
