A disqualified and uninsured driver from Sefton was given 12 week suspended sentence and a driving ban at the court hearing on 30th November.
Daniel Wilson, 28, of Pygons Hill Lane, #Lydiate has been sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment suspended for 12 months and an additional 6 months disqualification from driving.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: “This result is after our Operation Pelican Officers in March 2021 sighted Wilson driving a ‘Stealth Bomber’ branded off-road electric motorcycle in the #Crosby area.”
“Wilson was detained off the bike and found to be disqualified from driving and uninsured.”
“When driving data was downloaded from the bike it was found to have travelled in excess of 74mph.”
“These bikes are highly dangerous and are not road legal on UK roads. We will continue to deny criminals the use of the road whom use these vehicles which endanger the safety of the public and other motorists.”
