A man has been arrested after 50 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin and cash were seized in Bootle

At around 7am on Friday 9 January officers who were on patrol on Fleetwoods Lane spotted a man riding a Sur-ron bike. Officers followed the man to a block of flats where he ran from the property but was later detained and searched. Officers found 50 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin, cash and a mobile phone.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle without insurance and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

He was taken to a police station in Merseyside and has since been released under investigation.
Inspector Michelle Butland said : “Thanks to the actions of our officers who stopped a man on Fleetwoods Lane a large amount of dangerous drugs have been uncovered and removed from our streets in Bootle.”
“During the festive period and beyond Merseyside Police have launched Winter of Action a major policing push to keep town centres safe by tackling crime, reassuring communities, and ensuring our high streets are welcoming and safe for everyone. I hope these actions show how our officers will proactively pursue anyone involved in drug dealing or serious organised crime across Merseyside.
