A message to everyone who helped at the scene of the crash on Little Crosby Road on Saturday 28th August.
Emergency services were called at just before 1.30pm on Saturday 28th August following reports of a collision involving a Mercedes and a Honda car on Little Crosby Road in Great Crosby.
Merseyside Police is still appealing for witnesses following the fatal road traffic collision.
A man in his 20s, two women in their 20s and a man in his 50s were all taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Sadly one of the women, 22 year-old Claudia Phoebe Forden, who was a passenger in the Mercedes and from the Crosby area, has since passed away at hospital. Her next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
The mother of the young lady, Fleur who was in the car, Lyn Durrant said: “This message goes out to everyone who was there or helped on Saturday at the scene of the crash on Little Crosby Road.”
“I wanted to put an update to people to say that my daughter Fleur came home on Monday evening. Her boyfriend is still in hospital and is waiting on a big operation.”
“I cannot thank everyone enough for all their help, to help my daughter and her boyfriend and also especially her best friend Claudia at the scene.”
“All the love, flowers and cards that are left at the scene are incredible. Please light a candle for Claudia x.”
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing and witness and CCTV enquiries are being carried out in the local area.
