A Yellow Warning of Ice has just been issued by the Met Office for Sefton and the North West

The Met Office have issued a Yellow Warning for Ice for the whole of the North West from 4pm this afternoon to 10am tomorrow morning.
Further showers on Thursday night, 21st January, will leave surfaces wet. As ground temperatures fall below freezing, ice is likely to form in places. Some of the showers will be wintry, especially on high ground, with 1-2 cm snow possible above 200 metres.
The Met Office have said there will be Icy surfaces leading to difficult travel conditions.
What to expect
Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
Probably some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
