Police have arrested a 31-year-old man from Walton in connection with the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Ellis Cox in Aintree.
Ellis was tragically shot at the Liver Industrial Estate on 23 June 2024, and since then his family have been waiting for answers and justice.
The man was arrested today (Sunday 14 June) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and is currently being questioned by detectives.
This latest arrest brings the total number of people arrested as part of the investigation to nine.
Detectives say they remain determined to identify and prosecute everyone involved in Ellis’s murder and are continuing to appeal for information from the public.
For Ellis’s family, this latest development will hopefully provide some encouragement that detectives are continuing to pursue every line of inquiry in their search for justice.
