Merseyside Police are appealing for information following a fail to stop collision in Bootle on the morning of Friday 6 June.
At around 8.35am, officers were called to Merton Road to reports of a e-bike in collision with a 15-year-old male pedestrian. The pedestrian is being assessed by NWAS but is initially not believed to have sustained serious injuries.
The bike made off from the scene and enquiries are ongoing to locate the bike and rider.
Matrix Roads Policing Chief Inspector Stuart McIver said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or lives nearby and captured anything on CCTV or other devices.
“It appears that the e-bike was being ridden on the pavement, which is extremely reckless and to make off from the scene is completely unacceptable. The victim was on his way to sit GCSEs at the time of this incident, and we wish him a swift recovery.”
“We will be conducting extensive enquiries to track down the rider, so if you can help please come forward.”
