Due to concerned residents High Visibility patrol in the area of Bedford Park this evening

Officers from Southport Community Police Team will be on High Visibility patrol in the area of Bedford Park this evening, 29th January.

This is in direct response to concerns raised by residents, involving a small group of youths intent on causing annoyance in the area.

This has culminated in reports of ASB over the past couple of evenings, where residents have been subjected to intimidation and stones being thrown at the windows of houses.

Fortunately no damage has been caused, however why should local residents be subjected to this type of behaviour? Do you know where your children are this evening and are they themselves engaging in this type of behaviour?

Police are continuing their enquiries to identify those involved and subsequent follow up action will be taken when the offenders are identified.

Police encourage local residents to report any suspicious activity in the area via 101, any information which may help to identify those involved will be acted upon.
