Merseyside Police have confirmed that enquiries are ongoing following a report of indecent exposure in Crosby on Wednesday 11 February.
At 2.15pm, officers received a report that a 16-year-old girl had been walking home through Moorside Park when she witnessed a male exposing himself. The male then rode away from the scene on a bicycle. The incident was reported to police shortly afterwards.
The suspect is described as white, aged between 18 and 19 years old, approximately 5ft 8in tall, wearing all black clothing with his hood up and facial hair.
Police have confirmed that enquiries remain ongoing and that officers are liaising with local schools in the area to provide information and reassurance to pupils, parents and staff.
Earlier in the day, one local school sent a letter to parents after being informed by another school that one of their pupils had reported an incident at Moorside Park at approximately 1.35pm. In that communication, the suspect was described as being aged around 17 to 18 years old, wearing a black waist-length padded coat and black trousers, approximately 5ft 7in tall, and riding a mountain bike. He was reportedly last seen heading towards Trevor Drive in Crosby.
The school letter confirmed that the matter had been reported to Merseyside Police and advised parents to contact police directly if they had any concerns.
