Local campaigner Julie Lawson awarded British Empire Medal for services to charity
A Sefton resident has just been awarded a BEM for all her hard work helping charities.
Julie organises many fundraising events, all community based events raising much needed funds for many charities. She always has the community at her heart and will help in whatever way she can, from individuals needing support at times of crisis. To raising money for many charities including the Alzheimers Society. She organises events at the Ayuthaya restaurant in crosby and runs community events in the Plaza cinema. Which are well attended by many. There is lots if information on her facebook page - Julie Lawson Community Events CIC. She is an inspiration for so many and always puts others first.
These events are not just fundraisers. We welcome everyone who wishes to attend.
The Live at the Plaza is aimed at socially isolated, lonely or for people who do not wish to go out of an evening, by giving them the best afternoon of entertainment by some of Liverpools Finest artists. Everyone is welcome and the price is kept low to encourage people to attend.
Well done Julie!
