Man charged after suspected Crack Cocaine and Heroin found hidden inside a Kinder Egg in Bootle


A man has been arrested and charged after suspected crack cocaine and heroin were allegedly discovered concealed inside a Kinder egg in Bootle.
Merseyside Police said officers were on patrol yesterday morning, Monday 5 October, when they noticed a man acting suspiciously beneath the Washington Parade bridge.
Following a brief foot pursuit, officers detained the man. Police said that during the incident, the suspect dropped money and a yellow Kinder egg which allegedly contained multiple wraps of brown and white powder.
A further bag containing 30 wraps of what police described as white rocks and powder was also recovered on Washington Parade Bridge.
Ryan O’Toole, aged 36, of no fixed address but from the Bootle area, has now been charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply controlled Class A drugs.
He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sefton Magistrates’ Court today, Tuesday 6 October.
