Man From Maghull Charged Following Vehicle Crime Incidents in Bootle

Merseyside Police said officers first received a report on Monday 7 April that an unknown man had attempted to remove a wheel from a vehicle on Raleigh Street in Bootle.
A further report was received on Monday 4 May of a man allegedly attempting to remove a headlight from a vehicle at the same location. Officers attended and a suspect was arrested nearby.
Police say further enquiries led to the recovery of other suspected stolen vehicle parts, with investigations ongoing into those items.
Richard Wiggins, 39, of Eaton Road, Maghull, has now been charged with:
• Theft from a motor vehicle in relation to a headlight allegedly stolen on Monday 4 May
• Attempted theft from a motor vehicle in relation to an alleged attempt to steal car parts on Monday 7 April
He has been bailed to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court on Tuesday 30 June.
