This is Ainsley-Dale, one of the several baby squirrels (known as kittens) rescued this year.
Ainsley-Dale was the first of the kits rescued this year. He was found at Ainsdale National Nature Reserve (NNR) on the ground, cold and with his eyes still closed, so we think have been about 2-3 weeks old.
He was cared for by our Red Squirrel project officer Rachel Cripps and volunteers and has since been successfully released back to the NNR.🐿
