A planning application has been submitted for Nazareth House, located on Liverpool Road, Crosby (L23 0QT), proposing a significant change of use that has sparked widespread community interest.
The proposal seeks to convert the existing children’s home into supported living accommodation for individuals facing homelessness. The development would include internal and external modifications, such as:
Insertion of new windows
Replacement gate installation
A new cycle store
Reconfigured hard surfacing
Removal of the existing fire escape and ladder
According to the application, the transformed facility would provide crisis accommodation for homeless individuals, along with tailored support services aimed at helping residents:
Maintain tenancies
Improve wellbeing
Access support for substance and alcohol misuse (if required)
Receive job and housing advice
This development is designed to be a stepping stone for people in need, offering not just shelter, but also meaningful support to help them rebuild their lives.
Have Your Say
The application is now open for public consultation, and residents are encouraged to submit their comments by Sunday, 18th May 2025.
