A special notification of Helicopter Operations at Altcar Training Camp has been given to local residents Of Formby, Hightown and Crosby.
HELICOPTER MOVEMENT - ALTCAR TRAINING CAMP(16-23 JULY 2021)
Altcar Training Camp will host an military aviation exercise from Sunday 18th July until Friday 23rd July 2021.
Up to 10 helicopters, will operate daily - both during the day and at nighttime - sometimes flying until 0330 hours.
In order to meet all training objectives the aircrew are required to achieve a number of night sorties; unfortunately during the summer months and the later hours of darkness, this necessity means flying through to the early hours of the morning.
Aircraft routing in and out of Altcar Training Camp has been planned to minimise disruption as far as possible and the continued support and forbearance of the Hightown, Formby and Crosby community is very much appreciated during this essential training.
