Police have closed the road due to an RTC on A566 in Bootle

Emergency services are currently in attendance following a road traffic collision on the A566 at the junction of Linacre Lane and Hawthorne Road in Bootle.

The incident occurred at approximately 5.10pm this evening, Tuesday 3 February, and has resulted in the road being completely closed in both directions while police deal with the situation.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible, as delays are expected.
