BIKES STOLEN - I don’t want this happening to anyone else. My son and his friend had their bikes stolen at 9.13pm outside the Spar in Formby last night. A blue and black Cube and a silver and green Boardman. CCTV has been viewed and it was 4 males on 2 mopeds. It appears the boys were watched by these men and targeted.
They were parked down the side waiting one goes in the shop before the boys go in and then comes out whilst the boys are in there.
The scooters speed through the car park another one jumps off and they PICK up the bikes jump on the back off the mopeds and speed off down green lane with the pillions carrying the bikes behind their backs. It happened so fast. They can’t get the number plates as they were shining full beam on the cctv camera.
There were 5 bikes and they took the 2 best ones. Police said the boys are lucky - if they had come out the shop earlier they would have been harmed. Please be vigilant, lock up your bikes and police said DO NOT approach them they are dangerous. They said there is a spate of it in the area and they are investigating. If anyone saw anything or has any information please let me know. Thank you and keep safe. X

BOARDMAN is a full suspension, pic below - this bike has distinctive marks only I know about
