A concerned Crosby mum has shared her shocking discovery today, exposing how some shops are blatantly ignoring the new ban on disposable vapes.
The ban came into effect on the 1st of June. Yet this mum says she saw three shops in our area still selling them. She explains: “Today, while doing my weekly shop with my 15-year-old daughter (who could easily pass for 13), I noticed three shops openly selling disposable vapes. My daughter pointed out one in particular, saying that’s where some of her friends have been buying them.”
“Out of curiosity—and concern—I sent her in to see if they’d even question her. Imagine my shock when, 20 seconds later, she walked out with a vape in her hand. She had no ID, wasn’t asked her age—nothing.”
She added: “This isn’t just a one-off, either. This particular shop is already known for selling other restricted items to kids and has been reported to authorities and seen on social media several times. But nothing seems to be done!”
“Why are these rules even made if they’re clearly not being enforced? It’s an absolute joke and a real worry for parents in our community.”
This revelation has left many people shocked and asking serious questions about the safety of our children and the enforcement of new laws. If rules meant to protect young people are being ignored so openly, what else is slipping through the cracks?
Stay vigilant and let’s keep raising our voices and reporting these outlets.
