Southport Offshore Rescue were called out last night after someone in an inflatable had got into trouble off Ainsdale coast.
A spokesperson from Southport Lifeboat said: “As our crew were preparing for weekly training, we had a call out at 19:31hrs on Thursday 27th Jun.“
”Southport Lifeboat and Southport ILB were tasked to locate and recover a casualty on an inflatable who had drifted approximately 1km offshore at Ainsdale.“
“Southport Lifeboat recovered the casualty where the crew provided casualty care. They were then transferred to the D-Class to be transported to the beach with the help of Southport Coastguard. Our thanks go to all those involved.”
