Southport to Host its First Ever Drone Light Show at the 2025 British Musical Fireworks Championship!

Southport is set to dazzle like never before as the British Musical Fireworks Championship returns to Victoria Park on the 27th and 28th of September 2025, featuring the town’s first ever drone light show courtesy of DroneSwarm, one of the UK’s leading drone entertainment providers.

This cutting-edge addition will elevate the event to new heights, with hundreds of illuminated drones creating a breathtaking aerial display of lights, colours, and technology. DroneSwarm’s synchronised performances – known for captivating audiences at events for Disney, BMW, ITV, and the RAF – seamlessly blend storytelling, vibrant visuals, and pyrotechnic effects for a truly immersive experience.

This year’s event is also a ‘Champion of Champions’ edition, with six former winners of the British Musical Fireworks Championship returning to battle it out in a stunning display of pyromusical artistry. Each show is carefully choreographed to music, promising a magical experience for all ages.

Cllr Paulette Lappin, Sefton Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Skills, said: “The British Musical Fireworks Championship is always a highlight of Southport’s events calendar, but this year it’s going to be something truly extraordinary.”
