Southport Trains will terminate at Hall Road due to a person being hit by a train in Freshfield

We can confirm that a person has been hit by a train at Barkfield Lane which is a bridge between Formby train station and Freshfield train station. Services on the Southport Line are currently suspended.

Emergency services are now on site. Rail replacement buses have been requested to run between Hall Rd- Southport from approx 21:30hrs.

A spokesperson said: "Due to a person sadly being hit by a train in the Freshfield area, services on the Southport line are disrupted.”

“Services to Southport will now terminate at Hall Rd.”

“A Rail Replacement Bus service is now in operation between Hall Rd- Southport, conveying passengers in both directions.”
