Teenager arrested following assault in Litherland

A 16-year-old male has been arrested following an assault inside a house in Litherland on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday).
It was reported that at around 10.40pm a 16-year-old male was assaulted by two males inside a house on Croxteth Avenue, which is believed to be an isolated incident.
He was taken to hospital where he received treatment for his facial injury and has since been discharged.
Officers attended and following enquiries a 16-year-old male from Kirkdale was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault. He is still in police custody for questioning.
We have conducted house-to-house enquiries including CCTV and forensic examination, and enquires are ongoing.
