Three men have been arrested following a search warrant in Bootle where over £50,000 and Class A and B drugs were found inside a house and a campervan.
At around 8am on Tuesday 20 January, officers searched a house in the area and found a block of suspected cocaine, cannabis and two locked suitcases that contained several high‑value watches, a large amount of cannabis and an estimated £55,000 in cash.
A man aged 39 from Bootle was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, possession of a Section 5 firearm, possession of criminal property and handling stolen goods.
Officers also found documents in the house which led to two other men aged 35 and 55 from Liverpool and Bootle being arrested on suspicion of the same offences.
They were taken to a station in Merseyside where they remain in custody.
Officers also seized a camper van in the area where a further eight kilograms of vacuum‑packed cannabis were found in the rear of the vehicle.
Chief Inspector Jordan Quinn said: “The warrant and successful recovery of a significant amount of cash and drugs that could have caused serious harm in our community is an excellent result for our officers who worked together to swiftly arrest three men in Bootle.
“Those involved in organised crime and drug supply have no thought for anyone other than themselves, their criminal intent and greed. This criminal activity is hugely damaging to our communities, which often involves violence and creating fear in the neighbourhood.
“If you have any information about this incident or where drugs are being stored and dealt please come forward so we can continue to take action.” Anyone with any information about drugs or any other organised criminal activity is asked to call Merseyside Police on 101, DM us @MerPolCC or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
