Following a spate of thefts from vehicles and burglaries in the Southport area recently, a warrant was executed at an address in Birkdale on Wednesday 20th July.
Dylan Macdonald, aged 29 from an address on Liverpool Road in Southport, was arrested as part of this warrant. Macdonald has subsequently been charged with 13 offences, including theft from motor vehicle, vehicle interference, fraud by false representation, burglary dwelling with intent to steal and burglary other (non-dwelling). Further offences are still under investigation.
He has been remanded in custody until 18th August for an appearance at Liverpool Crown Court.
This arrest was due to a combination of work by Southport Neighbourhood Police Officers and PCSO's, working with investigation teams and Sefton Targeted Team officers.
