A car ended up on its roof in Sefton today after an RTC with a bus

Merseyside Police closed off St George’s Parade near Lord Street in Southport this afternoon, Thursday 22nd April, after a Renault car ended upside down on its roof outside the Prezzo Italian restaurant near the junction of London Street after reportedly being hit by a bus.

We have been told that nobody was seriously injured in the incident but an air ambulance was scrambled as a precaution, landing at Portland Street playing fields.

Police closed off the side section of Lord Street and traffic was being diverted while an investigation into the cause of the incident took place.

The driver of the car remained on the scene cooperating with police enquiries and appears unharmed.

Lord Street’s main road remained fully open.
