Man rushed to hospital after suffering an arm injury near Bootle Strand

A man was rushed to hospital this morning after an incident near #Bootle Strand shopping centre. Emergency services were called to Marsh Lane in Bootle at around 9.30am to reports of concern for a man's safety.
Officers were told that a man in the area had suffered an arm injury and police cars were seen for around four hours afterwards.
Witnesses said that blood could be seen on the footpath outside the Salvation Army on Stanley Road.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We were called to Marsh Lane in Bootle at 9.30am today, Sunday 24 February, to reports of concern for the safety of a male with an arm injury.”
“The man has been taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries remain ongoing but at this stage we are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident."
