A protest is taking place today on Gorsey Lane in Litherland. Members of the public have took deck chairs and are ‘sitting off’ at the side of Ford Cemetery on the Cinder Path that runs between Kirkstone Road West and Kirkstone Road North, to stop works going ahead for O2 which were due to commence this morning.

Drivers of the work vans cannot get access as there vans are blocked from the site. This is also causing traffic congestion on Gorsey Lane right back to Edge Lane.

Works were due to start this morning for phone company O2 with temporary traffic lights in place. The works was scheduled to start at 8am and continue until Friday 2nd July at 23:59hrs with delays likely.
