Emergency services were called to Crosby beach on Bank Holiday Monday evening following reports of a disturbance near the boating lake. Police attended at around 5.50pm and found that a 19 year old woman had sustained minor injuries. These included a graze to her head and a small superficial scratch to her arm, believed to have been caused by a bladed weapon. She was taken to hospital for assessment. The Packet Steamer Beefeater in #Bootle Hundreds of restaurant sites across the UK are set to close as part of a major overhaul by hospitality giant Whitbread, with several well known venues in Merseyside confirmed to be affected. Coastal Road Closure for Southport Triathlon. The coastal road is fully closed in both directions today, Sunday 17th May, due to the Southport Triathlon. The closure runs from Ainsdale roundabout, through Birkdale, along Marine Drive, and continues to the Plough roundabout. Roads will remain closed from 6.30am until 1.00pm.
